What to Submit

On-Topic

Share content that fits the community's purpose—whether that's news, technology, entertainment, or any other area. If it offers value, insight, or meaningful discussion, it belongs here.

And because we believe in the power of collective wisdom (and the internet never forgetting), all content you post is public—so make it count, or at least make it interesting enough to haunt you proudly in five years.

Off-Topic & Abuse

Refrain from posts unrelated to the community focus—generic stuff, celebrity gossip, or viral fluff that doesn't foster substantive engagement. Also, posting content that violates our Terms(3) is prohibited.

In Submissions

  • Use concise, descriptive titles—no ALL CAPS, emojis, exclamation points, or promotional adjectives.
  • Link to the original source whenever possible. Don't re-post secondary coverage.
  • Self-promotion is allowed sparingly. The primary goal is sharing interesting content, not marketing.
  • Remove site names from titles; the platform displays them automatically.
  • When posting news-related content, use the original title unless it's misleading—avoid editorializing.
  • Don't delete and repost entries; deletion is reserved for mistaken submissions.
  • Avoid soliciting votes, comments, or submissions—let the community judge organically.
  • Always enable NSFW (18+) for appropriate posts in order to avoid getting banned.

In Comments

  • Be respectful and constructive; avoid sarcasm, personal attacks, and offensive language.
  • Engage thoughtfully—focus on substantive critique, not trivial quips.
  • Address arguments, not individuals. E.g., "1 + 1 is 2, not 3" instead of insulting remarks.
  • Assume good faith; interpret comments in their strongest form.
  • Omit flamebait, internet tropes, and generic negativity.
  • Refrain from meta-commentary on voting or flagging; flag inappropriate content silently.
  • Avoid discussions of astroturfing, shilling or anything similar—report concerns privately via support.
  • Avoid using throwaway accounts; cultivate a consistent identity for ongoing dialogue. Duplication of any kind will result in a BAN.

Embedding & Markdown Guide

Supported Embeds in Posts

  • Images: paste direct image URLs (.jpg, .png, .gif, .svg, .webp), they'll render inline.
  • YouTube/Vimeo: paste a video link; it auto-embeds the player.
  • Spotify: paste track or playlist links for inline players.

Basic Post Markdown

  • Bold: **text**
  • Italic: *text*

User Mentions

  • You can tag other members in posts and comments using @username. Mentioned users receive a notification, making it easy to grab their attention and keep conversations connected.

Hashtags

  • Organize your content and discover trending topics by using #keyword in your posts. Clicking a hashtag allows you to quickly browse all related discussions.
  • Use responsibly: Please avoid "hashtag stuffing" or using irrelevant tags to spam the feed. Abuse of this feature may result in a temporary or permanent ban from the community.
